No more vacation for Regis. Last Friday, Clay Aiken sat in for Philbin on Live with Regis and Kelly. After several battles with Ripa for the spotlight, Aiken placed his hand over her mouth to finish his question. "Oh, that's a no-no," she said. "I don't know where that hand's been, honey." To make matters worse, Rosie O'Donnell lashed out the next morning on the view, saying that Ripa's comment was an obvious bash at Aiken's homosexuality. Ripa denies the claim stating that she "treats everyone with equal dignity and respect, a dignity and respect that was not shown to me."

In the wake of public outrage, News Corp. chief Rupert Murdoch canceled the controversial O.J. Simpson book and 2-part television series that was to air on Fox this weekend. Entitled "If I Did It", the book and series was purportedly Simpson's version of how he would have done it, if it had been him. Not that he's saying he did it of course. This is just how things would have gone had he been in charge. Simpson was allegedly paid some $3.5 million in advance for the project and kept the money even though the project isn't going forward.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and hubby Michael Douglas may be about to set a new precedent. When celebrity mag Hello! secretly snapped pics of the couple's 2004 wedding, it apparently violated a right to confidentiality owned by rival OK! magazine who had paid a cool million for exclusive rights to the photos. If OK! magazine wins the case, it would create a new law in Britian that protects a person's image.

45 year-old Tawny Kitaen has been charged with felony drug possession after Orange County deputies reportedly found cocaine in her apartment. Kitaen is scheduled to be arraigned on December 18th.

Its not Internet... Its HBO. Cable heavyweight HBO is considering a new Internet channel exclusively for their cable subscribers. Broadband users would be able to click on a menu and download the network's programming.
