Hi,

Not the biggest Boston fan in the world, but sure, they were a staple of my youth. Too bad about Brad Delp.

Just a couple things worth mentioning - that first Boston album sold somewhere around 17 million copies, one of the biggest rock debuts ever. 'Don't Look Back' I believe, sold about 7 or 8 million. So to say it met with "limited success" is all relative. It was probably more successful than 90 percent of all albums released that year.

Also, Tom Scholz is as well known among guitar players for inventing the Rockman effects unit as he is for his own playing. The Rockman is the reason for the signature 'Boston sound' and can be heard somewhere on almost every rock album produced in the 1980s.
